Stuck in Detroit...help!
So kay88 and myself are trying to fly back from Birmingham, AL to Mpls... Not so lucky...flights are full and we are stuck inside the DTW terminal until tomorrow morning. Any Detroit members want to buy us a beer?

That sucks, I hate delays like that. Go to National Coney Island and get a few coneys, then head to the tequila bar.

Or...if you don't already have a membership and you're flying one of the major airlines, check with Northwest's WorldPerks Club - I think you can pay a day rate but I'm not sure how expensive it is. If you have an American Express card, it might even be free. At least you'll be comfortable and get free drinks.

I'm stuck in LA trying to get to Minneapolis!!!!!
Fucking American Airlines. I had a noon flight to LAX and a 4pm to Minneapolis. So those buttgoblins delayed my flight, then delayed our landing for so long I missed my flight. Then the next one was full. So now I have to HOPE I get to MSP around 0630 and then PRAY there's room on the first outbound to Duluth, otherwise I'm not getting home til noon at least.

No delay, just travelling as an airline employee, and being worth slightly more than the bluejuice they use in the toilet....then on the other hand, the bluejuice got to go to MSP.

Probably closed as well, and I'm not willing to pay $45 x 2 for it.Alpha Phi Sigma Alum - Alpha Delta Chapter

Yes, and it is now almost 1am EST. I can maybe get 4 hours of sleep if i went to sleep now. I'm not sure if I'll be able to sleep here though. I was when Kai was still awake, but I don't know if I'll be able to if he goes to sleep. The "safe" feeling is gone then... Hopefully I can get a little sleep at least.... Gotta get back to MSP, get to Burnsville to get my car and hightail it to New Ulm. So I can at least make most of my classes tomorrow. Then there's a Reserve Meeting at 7pm tomorrow.... Great... I could go for a beer about now....

I'm HOPING to get a standby seat, but holy shit, there's over an hour to go til boarding and there's already a shitload of people at the gate. A LOT of them are Japanese tourists.
Why you'd go from Japan to MN in fall is beyond me.

Fingers are crossed. We got seat assignments, so we should be set to go...now watch our plane will break on us....
Note to travellers: Although carpeted, the floor in the C10 gate area is not very soft and cushy. Also, a backpack filled with a laptop and camera equipment is not a very good pillow.Alpha Phi Sigma Alum - Alpha Delta Chapter

They come for the shopping at Mall of America. Also, St. Paul is a sister city of Nagasaki. http://www.stpaul.gov/sistercities/

Omg you were close to me yesterday, I'm glad I didn't know. Lol.
There’s a promise I need you to make
While I’m gone you take care of the love
And I’ll deal with the hate.
Don’t worry about me; I’ll be all right
Just care for your children and sleep tight
I’ll keep you safe on my watch tonight
