Exclamation I'm thinking about turning in my commission.

After working on shift last night, I awoke this afternoon to find the television set in my bedroom tuned the the Jerry Springer Show. Too sleepy and lazy to find the remote control, I watched about 10 grueling minutes before falling into an ignorance-induced mouth-frothing stupor, during which, I actually felt my IQ dropping at an alarming rate.

I am now thinking about resigning my commission. As you all know, I diligently strive to be an ethical LEO, and 10 minutes of Jerry Springer's guests have proven that there are people in the world whom I could neither serve, nor protect.

I am now going to tune into Dr. Phil, in hopes that there can be some form of emotional soothing found in his wisdom for me.

Thank you all for your understanding.

When I think about stuff like that, I try to remind myself that these people are on TV because they're the exception. They make other morons feel good about themselves. So, while I'd say there are plenty of idiots around, hopefully the idiots on TV are the worst of the idiots.

Countybear, are we going to have to stage an intervention? Do not under any circumstances watch daytime tv!! Put the remote down and pick up a book or watch a movie or something. Anything but daytime tv!! Even an infomercial about the Magic Bullet or something would be better than Springer.

THANK GOD for an ambulance-chaser commercial. Without "This is my wreck, this is my check", I think I would have imploded.

Haha, indeed they must. Probably after some type of medical procedure, though.

You haven't seen terrible daytime television until you sat through an episode of "Yo Gabba Gabba" on Nickelodeon. I love some Backyardigans, Spongebob, Fairly Odd Parents, but the aforementioned piece of television crap could only be enjoyed whilst tripping on acid.

I love those Magic Bullet infomercials.

I also like the "Set it and Forget it" rottisserie (sp?) whatever that product is called.

OH! And the one with the little old chubby lady with the poofy grandma hair. You know what I'm talkign about?? The product has two pockets, and you close the lid and it cooks everything from grilled cheese to cake to "stuffed soup"

I almost considered buying one of those.

The only thing worse than Yo Gabba Gabba is Wow Wow Wubbzy.

I wouldn't ordinarily know that but I have two grandkids who are addicted. You believe me....right? You know I wouldn't watch that stuff by myself....right?

Do not buy the Magic Bullet, it doesn't work. And no, I didn't buy it myself, but I know someone who did.

I'm going to have to disagree. Wow Wow Wubzy at least has SOME substance. Yo Gabba Gabba just creeps me out with that guy in the all orange suit, Orange British Guard looking hat, birth control glasses, and looks a lil light in the loafers.

    And furthermore....I believe ya....yeah.....sure, no really.....I do.
