EMTs
Evidence Mangling Technician
That's what they are!!
Why do EMT's constantly cut right thru the bullet holes of clothing?!?!?!?
We have bullet holes in the victims and yet can't find the hole in the clothing..why cause these dummies cut right thru the holes!!!!

Um, it could be that no one has ever told them that you might need that as evidence.
And maybe next time you should think about where you are parking your squad next time you respond to a medical or a fire!
Just speaking from both sides of the line here.

I've been a (medical) first responder for 6 years. Every time I've taken the course or a refresher, they touch on crime scenes.
And that you never cut through bullet holes, stab marks, etc on a victims clothing. No one has greater love than this, to lay down ones life for ones friends - John 15:13

Jmur is right, it was part of my curriculum for initial cert and CME's necessary for recert. I haven't yet been put in a situation where the removal of clothing was so urgent that a little bit of care couldn't be observed for preserving obvious evidence.

I'm taking EMT class right now and we were also told not to cut through bullet holes....Must be a Jersey thing

My theory - the EMTs shot the dude, cut through the holes to destroy the evidence, then cut through the victim to destroy the testimony.

Total tunnel vision man. With the Fire/Ems background I tell you that while they teach it, most never apply it.
In my area if you had guys on the Medic or Engine that were being mindful of evidence, you could guarantee they were full time cops working the part time job."Like" us on facebook! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Offic...93147194083228

Try reconstructing an accident after the fire department is through mangling a car, parking on evidence, and washing important stuff away with a hose.
It seems that at most accident scenes, the area with the most roadway evidence is also the area that is most attractive for driving or parking by EMS.*************************"It wouldn't take much for me to up and run...to another life somewhere in the sun."
