Thanksgiving Plans?
What is everyone doing for Thanksgiving? Do you have any family traditions that you always follow?
My family will be coming out to spend Thanksgiving with me this year. Thanksgiving morning I'll watch the parades, head to a church to help cook and serve meals, then return home to have a traditional turkey dinner. Once in a while some of us will go to the movies on Thanksgiving night, we might do that this year as well.

Grandma's House probably.
I was watching the news last night, did you know that most people consume like 2,867 calories during a thanksgiving meal? I don't know how many cups/spoonfulls of each you have to eat to make it that much but.. shit, 3,000 calories?!?! HOLY MAN! Then they were talking about how you can get it down to 800ish calories. yikes.May you rest in peace Daddy and may you never hurt again. I love you and miss you and can't wait to see you again.

Going to mom and dad's house with the ex and the kids. Thankfully Mom and dad only live 10 minutes from home.

My mother in law and stepsons are coming here this year. I love my mother in law. My stepsons take after their mother.

Im staying home. Most of my family is going out of town but I couldnt get off work. The three of us that couldnt go are having dinner together. Nothing fancy, just a regular Thanksgiving dinner, just scaled down.

Going to my aunt and uncle's house like we do every year. Watch football, eat REALLY good food, watch more football, fall asleep in their massage chair, wake up, go to work, make double time and a half for the night.

Hang out with dad and cidp24a, eat the usual turkey, dressing, etc and a spicey hominy dish that I love but only eat on holidays. I'll then lay up in my chair and regret eating so much and watch a little TV. Later that night Ill strip the turkey carcass down and put the leftover meat up, use the carcass to make a stock for future soup, etc.

Well, my family all live in the Northeast, they all stay at home and eat with their families. I have a good friend who asked me to come and have dinner with his kids and grandkids this year. My ex's mom is coming from Puerto Rico the Friday after so we are going to celebrate it with her on Saturday.
My dad, I miss him every day.

For a rare change, I am off. Family will have a big breakfast after sleeping in, then go to the zoo for a few hours. Come back home, have a dinner and kick back with a good movie.
Best way to spend the Harvest Day.
