whats your favorite Thanksgiving food?
for me, turkey is okay, and definitely a staple.
but it seems the only time of year i get the REALLY good stuff, Stovetop Stuffing and Green Bean Casserole, is T-day!
i load up my plate with that, a slice or two of turkey, and a few rolls.
then i eat it, go back for more stuffing and green beans, etc etc

My favorite are the sweet potatoes. I love those damn things. With the butter, brown sugar, and marshmellows.

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. - Leo Buscaglia

We have a spicy hominy dish that is my favorite part of the meal. It has hominy, cheese, sour cream, hot peppers, cream of mushroom soup. Mmmm, MMMM! Love it!!

I love sweet potatoes! I used to make mine with orange marmalade, makes for a nice change of pace....also very good with a meringue topping instead of marshmallows.
I make a pretty mean cornbread stuffing with pecans (my Mom doesn't care for it though)
I love me some punkin' pie....yup, yup, yup.....punkin is the reason for the season!

Smooth or chunky?
I love the whole berry.
And, here's a lovely recipe for a cranberry syrup to add to champagne....festive and tasty!
1 small can frozen cranberry juice cocktail...thawed
about 1/4 cup sugar
3 or 4 slices of fresh ginger
1 cinnamon stick
a couple whole cloves
Stir over low heat until it reaches a syrupy consistency, strain out the "bits" and cool.
Add about a tablespoon to a glass of champagne....awesome!

If it's the canned stuff, I prefer smooth, but if you take fresh cranberries and puree them with some pineapple... yum!

You wouldn't offend me at all. I'll make it how you want it. Which means there'd be no sweet potatoes haha.
