Signature line question
Aside from the obvious reasons for not making your depts liable for the insanity on this board......what other reasons do you folks have for the disclaimer that I see so many of you have at the bottom of your posts ?
Do any of your depts mandate that you have them ?...or did you put them on there for your own safety and protection of the dept ?
Is there a standard one that everyone uses ? If so; why ?
Is this more than one question ?
Why is that?Never Search Alone !

MY department doesn't mandate it, but since I do view and post from work if I'm not busy I like it up there in case there's ever an issue.

I'm retired and not working so I don't need one. Now that I think of it I didn't work when I was there either.

I had it in mine for a while, but decided it was fluff.

I don't expect that I would ever have any problems from the things I post, but with my agency, one just never knows. Some of the current brass would love to pin my a$$ to the wall if they could, so it is a CYA type thing. I think my "disclosure statement" pretty well covers things.
