What I woke up to this morning...
This....
I know that doesn't look like much, but I walked down to the street and back, and the snow was almost up to my knees, and I am 6'.
The bed of my brother's truck was filled up and I just cleaned it out last night.Former member of the LNC

We got alot of rain over the past couple of days, but no snow. The mountains in town were covered though. We sit at 7,000' and the snow levels looked to be around 8,000'. Can't wait for snow!!!!

Vine maples and sapling alders
Searched for lady slippers
But instead
Found blackberry riots and
Desiccated branches
An old skid road
Brought ghost ferns and
Hollows filled with
Skunk cabbage
While waves wrapped
Intricate lacings of weeds
'Round mule spinners
His cyanotic eyes
Were hard enough to make
The sun turn tail and
Tender enough to attract me
To his world of illusion

This winter is the first time since 2001 that I've had four-wheel drive. I *LOVED* driving into work Saturday night during the snowstorm

I don't know if it's possible for a human but If I woke to that, I would go back inside and try my hardest to hibernate until spring. Early summer preferably.

I really do love all the seasons... they seem to last just long enough that at the end i am ready for them to go and yet.. i just have a blast while they exist. I really loved growing up in NH though the summer could have been a little longer LOL Originally Posted by gopherpuckfan

LMAO - so very true!! I've always been amazed that it's "normal" for us to have a 50 degree temperature variance in the course of 24 hours. Funny that I'm scraping ice off the windshield before I leave for work, then sweating in the middle of my shift!! Originally Posted by Illiy

The closest I have ever come in this job to getting seriously hurt or killed was probably by non-ice driving, idiotic, probably dont have a good reason to be out anyway drivers at I55 and I220 during ice storms. Originally Posted by OXCOPS

Goz, I grew up in MA and spent weekends skiing in North Conway, NH. I miss the season changes, but not snow. I think where I am going will be just right. Less than 2 weeks and counting!
