If I remember that canyon correctly it dead-ends at a shooting range... or very close to it... those turns are scary at a regular speed...

I haven't seen a good pursuit in a while... That was a nasty crash! Lucky there weren't any other cars... Can't wait to hear the full story...

Does anyone else consider it more than a coincidence that the area where the most high-speed pursuits are covered by live news is the same area that has the highest frequency of high-speed pursuits?
Drop the live media coverage, I'll bet the frequency of pursuits will decrease as well.

Your point is one that is discussed often of (all places on the news)... I have to say that the pursuits have decreased quite a bit (televised ones anyway) since the laws changed a few years ago (can't remember the exact change) but there are far more pursuits then are televised.
Thats SoCal for you... tabloids have tv shows and criminals get the spot light...

Are you guys not allowed to TVI people down there. I always see stuff on tv where CHP will TVI a pursuit but they are the only agency out that way that I see doing it. Around here, at any point a pursuit becomes a danger to the public, we TVI or take other aggressive steps to end the pursuit.
