Who else is rockin' work on Christmas??
So who else is taking it for the team this year and working Christmas Eve/Christmas?
I'm working the day shift the 24th-26th for dispatch. It's going to suck, but got to love that holiday pay.

Im working christmas night starting at 7pm. It still gives me plenty of time to be Santa for my kids though.

I will be working a detail christmas day. I will pretty much be getting paid to hold a radio and stuff my face at home.

Actually, I cannot think of a better place to be Christmas day than LEF
500 fights, that's the number I figured when I was a kid. 500 street fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate tough guy. You need them for experience. To develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then, after, you realize that's what you are.

I have to work Christmas Day from 1600-2400. I'll be in uniform sitting at my family's house doing nothing. It never fails, I'll get a call on Christmas to respond to some BS. I hate it when people can't get along for one dang day! It really wears on me when I have to get called away from my family dinner because some scrote has a problem. Then again, at least I'll get to work traffic and maybe put some doper in jail on Christams Day!!! That would be a perk I guess.

But, hey, at least some of you guys get to be home and "available" while you're working... I never lived within the jurisdiction to get away with something like that. Years ago, we managed to sneak folks home for half the day of Christmas, at least if they had kids, but someone whined and complained and ruined that.
