Was my last year as a civilian, academy starts in 13 days and I'm nervous as hell

I'll tell you what a police officer said to me 20 years ago when I told him I was going to the Academy.
"Ain't you got anything better to do with your life?"
Me: (20 years later) "No, I guess not!"

Haha, they don't do that at our academy, explains why it's 9 months
These are the exact words from my Lieutenant-What's the use of us yelling at you guys, while having you do hundreds of pushups? All that's gonna do really is give you upper body strength, but yelling doesn't do anything, if we have something to say to you, we say it with respect. Our goal in this academy is to have you graduate with an agency's patch on your left arm, we're not hear to scare you off.
Thank you everyone for the kind comments, I'm already in the best shape cause I've been doing power workouts every day, and I've gained about 30% more strength than I've had before. I already have started studying the LD we're starting with on the first week of the academy.
