Yes! It is a bill allright. signed nto law. too many links. Sorry i am not a computer genius. I do not need to be anything but a parent to lose my wits ovr this one.

This is senate bill 777. signed into law by california governor. I do not know how to post links. All parents need to check this out. It has been posted here but i thought it was a joke. I read the actual bill and i simply could not believe what i saw.

After a bit of searching (googling SB 777) it's just that same old equality/anti-discrimination bill that certain factions are trying to blow way the hell out of proportion. Propaganda aside, it's not there to force schools to teach kids about GBLT, but simply to make rules and regs about discrimination against them state wide instead of locally controlled.

Personally, I'm secure enough in my teaching of my kid that no matter what the state mandates, she'll always have my guidance in deciding what is right and wrong.

And Ducky, did you read the bill? It does several interesting things besides doing exactly what you say it doesn't do.

It also mandates instruction of non english speakers in their native language.

I don't have any problem with anyones sexual orientation. A persons belief in who they feel they are is not my business. I just do not want my kids to be "bullied" away from traditional values teaching. The Government has no business doing that. If they feel the need to mandate something they need to mandate that this is America, where we speak and teach in ENGLISH!
