Packard Car Museum
As some of you know I'm stuck here in Dayton with nothing to do. Anyhoo, I went to the Packard Car Museum yesterday and thought that you guys might enjoy some of the pics. Here is the link to my album on photobucket. Enjoy!

Great post Wacop, I love old cars. They have so much character.

Whew, I must be getting old. I remember many of those Packards. Actually, too many!
Thanks for the trip down memory lane. They were great vehicles.

We dallied under
Vine maples and sapling alders
Searched for lady slippers
But instead
Found blackberry riots and
Desiccated branches
An old skid road
Brought ghost ferns and
Hollows filled with
Skunk cabbage
While waves wrapped
Intricate lacings of weeds
'Round mule spinners
His cyanotic eyes
Were hard enough to make
The sun turn tail and
Tender enough to attract me
To his world of illusion

Didn't anybody tell you, PapaBear, that age is like fine wine? Not that I have had any, mind you. Some things just get better with age.
Packards were on the par with such cars as Cadillac, Lincoln, Dusenberg, Auburn, Cord, etc. Very fine cars and many were hand made to customers specs. All in all a very well made luxury car in its day.
I am glad you got to see these fine automobiles, Wacop. I have been to a couple of car museums myself. Notably the Harrah's Collection in Reno / Sparks, Nevada before it was dismembered and the Towe Ford Museum in Sacramento, CA. They even let me sit in one of my favorite cars, a 1964 1/2 Mustang convertible. It was a Indianapolis pace car edition, I believe. Not many made and even fewer in existence today.
I'm just a certified Car nut.
Laughing at Gozlings rendition of Packed vs Packard. OY! (Shakes head)
