Follow instructions to the letter. I assure you that you DO NOT want a dry socket.

You young if you had waited till you were older it would be a hell of a lot worse. I know from experience. Do what CID said follow the instructions and in a few days it will get better.

Hydrocodone didn't help worth a shit! Didn't make me goofy or nothing. I'm sticking to the Ibuprofen 800 mg. But, nope, no straws and I don't smoke. But, shit, If I get a dry socket i'll probably just shoot myself. Okay, not really but........... I'm a wuss! I hate pain! ha.

I had my wisdom teeth pulled while I was in the Marines. Only had three, the fourth one never grew. I gather that can happen.
They pulled one and several months later pulled the other two in one session. All three were impacted. I swear all the Navy doc used was a pry probe, a scalpel, and a pair of pliers. Plus, they just used Novocaine. It was an interesting experience. When he was pulling one of them, he literally had a knee on my chest and his forearm pressing down on my forehead. It felt like he pulled my whole jaw off.
And the Corps didn't believe in pain pills. I got one pill and then got switched to APC's."When a crime is committed, liberals blame society. Conservatives blame the criminal." -Debra Saunders

For mine, they put me out with Versed and I woke up done.
I was on Oxycodone and never felt a damn thing, but those stupid stitches they put around the edges of the socket to prevent it from drying out.
Hope you feel better soon Hannah!I'm your huckleberry...

I'm not looking forward to getting mine out at all. I'll have to get it done within the next 1-2 years or else I will lose my back molars...
I hope you start feeling better soon though!

I was like Maclean and had them put me out. I was very lucky and had no bruising, no pain and very little swelling.
Hope you get feeling better.
