ST. Baldricks Foundation
I signed up Friday to shave my head for a worthy cause. Helping kids with cancer while shaving my melon should be fun. I'll post some before and after pics.

That's a great cause, bird1. I hope that you're able to raise a good amount of money. Reca usually does that as well.

We dallied under
Vine maples and sapling alders
Searched for lady slippers
But instead
Found blackberry riots and
Desiccated branches
An old skid road
Brought ghost ferns and
Hollows filled with
Skunk cabbage
While waves wrapped
Intricate lacings of weeds
'Round mule spinners
His cyanotic eyes
Were hard enough to make
The sun turn tail and
Tender enough to attract me
To his world of illusion

Great cause! Can't wait for pictures...

This is a very worthy cause - from a personal standpoint I've seen how much organizations like St Baldrick's truly have an impact on research and availability of cancer treatments for children. The 17 month old son of one of my friends has Ewing's Sarcoma and after spending literally more than half of his life undergoing various treatments including the amputation of one of his limbs, he is thankfully in remission at this point. Because of his age, some of the treatments were somewhat experimental and without organizations like St Baldrick's, those treatments may not have been available and the outcome not as positive.
So if you're able to give even a couple of dollars, please consider donating to St Baldrick's.

Tell me who to send the check to! What a great thing to do.
For the morning will come. Brightly will it shine on the brave and true, kindly upon all who suffer for the cause, glorious upon the tombs of heroes. Thus will shine the dawn.

Go to this link and roughly in the middle of the page there are three options for donation - you can donate online, by mail, or by telephone.

I have been proud to support this cause and authorize the promotion of this on Officer Resource. This is truly a great cause and I am very proud to stand beside the men and women who take part in this.
I would like to announce that Officer Resource will be donating a small amount of money to the St. Baldrick's Foundation this year.

that is very cool!
Is this an annual type thing, or something that one can do any time? Hell, I'd post notices in the office for donations.--

To Term and Reca,I suggest next year O/R sponsor someone and start the donations a lot earlier,I admit I procrastinated this year (didn't realize bird only gave us 3 days)and didn't get mine in on time
(at least I got Reca last year),Be good for St.Baldricks,Good for the kids, and wouldn't hurt the sight any either.
