Hey Countybear...
Great article you wrote on homepage
I really enjoyed reading it and really wished I lived closer to attend the memorial. That is something I have always wanted to go to. One day.......it's on my bucket list.**********************

Very kind of you to say, KC. I thank you.
If you are able to ever make it, the experience honestly defies description, especially on the night of the vigil.
If there's a way to share transportation, accomodations, etc. I would love to see O/R members turn out in greater numbers than even last year.

As always Bear that was a great piece and I agree that the vigil is something every LEO should see at least once. I will not be able to attend this year due to other obligations but plan to attend again in the near future.

We're glad you enjoyed it. Every week we add a new article to our main page, some written by infamous law enforcement authors, and some written by every day beat cops like Countybear.

500 fights, that's the number I figured when I was a kid. 500 street fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate tough guy. You need them for experience. To develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then, after, you realize that's what you are.

I'd definitely fall into the 'infamous' category, I believe.
