Slugburger
Another thread got me thinking about slugburgers. I was wondering if they have these or something similar in other areas of the country.

These aren't bad but they aren't all that great either in my opinion. It's hard to describe what they taste like. The only place I ever saw them was in Corinth MS.*************************"It wouldn't take much for me to up and run...to another life somewhere in the sun."

Interesting. Never heard of them...but then again, I just saw my first SONIC a few weeks ago in North Carolina. Never seen a Whattaburger either, but I'm gonna try it when I'm in Dallas in a week or two.
I'll add Slugburger to my list of places to stop in if I see them

The name kind of turns my stomach. Yes, I read where it was named after the slang term for a nickel, but the mental image of slugs just won't go away.

Sounds basically like what the other thread was talking about, they are everywhere, just under different names and with small variations.I remember once stopping at a truck stop just outside McComb Ms.,they advertised burgers for 50 cents, thought sure it was a "slider" or the eqivalent at that price (this was about 15 years ago),got all 6 with "everything",got back in my truck and ,----whoa,they were full sized burgers!!!!!
To this day dont know how they could do it,---btw,that included lettuce, tomatoe, onion, etc.

I got tired of Sonic. They have one on every forking Army or Air Force base I have ever been to.

I like the Sonic here, they have the best onion rings, like what you get at the fair. Their burgers aren't half bad, but unless you have AC in your car you're screwed in the summertime.

I kind of like spam on occasion. I can't understand it's popularity in Hawaii though. A ball of rice, topped with spam, wrapped in seaweed is sold in quick stops there like a sausage biscuit is sold here. Weird.

Man, I knew y'all are deprived up there but I did not know it was so bad that you didn't have sausage biscuits.

Forgot some of y'all are from above the Mason-Dixon - they sell biscuits, cut in half, with either a split open link or a patty of sausage between the halves here. Any good convenience store has them, mainly in the morning.
