Damn Candy Bar
So, I am totally joanzin for a candy bar tonight for some reason, need a good sugar fix or something. I stop at the local Kwik-Trip to get a tasty treat and BAM! What do I see in front of me a whole assortment of chocolate type candy bars. All look so good and I was thinking maybe I will get two, until I look at the price. A regular candy bar is now .99+tax. WTF? a normal size candy bar is .99...................., what has this world come to. I remember you could get them for .45 or .50, when did this happen?

I'm so freakin' old, I remember when gas went to .50 a gallon and you could get a big-ass candy bar for a dime! Of course, I was working as a cook making $1.05 an hour!

I could fill my mini-bike up, get a coke, and get change back on a dollar. My first job was $2.01 an hour as a general flunkie at a Yard and Garden store.

Seriously, I have never known candy bars to be this damn expensive
Okay FYI, I bought a king size Twix. This works out to two regular twix' and it only cost 30 cents more!

Two candy bars that I'm just absolutely inlove with are Fast break and The new Reese's Whipped bar. Oh my god those two are sooooo good, they are so worth the money and fat percentage. I hope my trainer doesn't research this and find out my dirty secret. Every time he finds out I ate junk food he makes me run 2 miles with a 100lbs vest. Even though i do it on most of my runs anyway..lol

Okay, now I feel the compelling urge to really become eclectic. When I was a youngster we could get Milky Ways, Hershey's, Snickers, Three Musketeers, and others for a small pittance. How does .05 cents grab ya? When I turned ten, the price went up to a dime.
Chocolate was such a premium during WWII that it was fairly expensive. We lived in San Diego and high school mates of my mother would stop by when they were in the city on leave - Navy and Marines - and they would bring their Hershey bars out of their rations boxes. Oh, what a treat those bars were.
BTW, they did not have "Twix" in those days.Be courteous to all, but intimate with few, and let those few be well tried before you give them your confidence.
