Happy First Day of Spring!
Spring has sprung! Happy First Day of Spring!
"The first day of spring is around March 20 or 21, depending on what day the vernal equinox occurs. This is when the sun sits directly above the equator on its apparent trip northward. Of course this sun isnít moving; Earth is. As Earth revolves around the sun, the top half, called the Northern Hemisphere, becomes tilted more toward the sun as winter turns to spring. Meanwhile the bottom half, the Southern Hemisphere, becomes tilted more away from the sun. The beginning of spring for us is the beginning of autumn for people in Australia and the southern parts of Africa and South America." http://www.wxdude.com/spring.html
The vernal equinox falls on March 20 today because it is a leap year.

I certainly hope your "Vernal Equinox" was pleasant and warm.Be courteous to all, but intimate with few, and let those few be well tried before you give them your confidence.

i had a goat once born on the vernal equinox...
named him vern
i miss himhttp://www.allpoetry.com/Grunts%20Girl
We dallied under
Vine maples and sapling alders
Searched for lady slippers
Found blackberry riots and
An old skid road
Brought ghost ferns and
Hollows filled with
While waves wrapped
Intricate lacings of weeds
'Round mule spinners
His cyanotic eyes
Were hard enough to make
The sun turn tail and
Tender enough to attract me
To his world of illusion
