Will this be a good decision?

My mother just informed me that she's offering to pay half of my flight ticket to Egypt if I decide to go. Only reason of why I didn't want to go is that because I was afraid that I might miss a call from the Police Department that I'm testing for.

So I made up my mind of to finally go with my mom and my brother to my hometown in Cairo, Egypt to visit my sister, and close friends whom I haven't seen in 13 years. I figure that if I go, the Police Department will always have later testing dates(which they do cause I already looked) and the trip will actually clear my head a little and make me actually feel a little better since I've been just out of it lately. If I don't go, I will be struck with feelings of guiltiness of why I didn't go. I won't get to see my sister for the next 3 to 4 years, and I'll never meet my nieces and nephew.

Also the trip won't cost me as much. $1000($6,000 in Egyptian Pastors) for spending money, and $1,000 for the plane ticket.

The only thing is I'm worried about missing my chance at the P.D, but is it really missing it if I am testing for it later?

Sounds like a good decision to me. I'd take the opportunity to see my family in that situation. Sounds like you have less chances to do that than to test for a PD. You can always test at a later date.
