    Rose in a tube

    http://www.wftv.com/news/7337233/detail.html

Putting this here as it shouldn't be news to anyone in law enforcement. Why it's suddenly on the news I can't figure out. Glad it's getting press time though!

    Thanks for posting the story..

It is a well known thing here and OCU (Organized Crime Unit) busts stores for selling them all the time. I'm not sure if the majority of the public knew about this.

As Signal said "Thanks for posting the story.."

I didn't know that and I have seen them at a few stores that I have gone too. I can't think which stores I saw them at. But, I know I have seen them and thought they were kinda cute looking. I'll have to keep my eyes open for them now.

    A Smile

A smile cost nothing, but gives so much.

It enriches those who receive it,
without making poorer those who give.
It takes but a moment, but the memory
    of it sometimes lasts forever.

None is so rich or mighty that he
    can get along without it,
and none is so poor but that
he can be made rich by it.

A smile creates happiness in the home,
    fosters goodwill in business,
and is the countersign of friendship.

It brings rest to the weary,
cheer to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad,
and it is nature's best antidote for trouble.

Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed,
or stolen, for it is something that is of no
value to anyone until it is given away.

Some people are too tired to give you a smile.
Give them one of yours, as none needs a smile
so much as he who has no more to give.

If I were you I'd be more concerned about how you're going to get out of that tube!

    LOL!

I can think of a couple of ways to get me out of the tube, but how the heck did I get in there in the first place? Or is this one I don't want to know the answer too and I'll get well you just had to ask.

Man, y'all are cynical about crackheads and their roses - Wonder how you got that way?

It's profiling...in my expeience crack-heads have a higher than average tendencey to 1. have crack on them and 2. be assholes.

    A haiku

    A gift from my sweetie
I can smoke the rose as well!
    I'm such a junkie.

Paraphernalia is pretty much legal to sell here as a "tobacco" product. But if it's found with narcotics, or other parahernalia....you go bye,bye

Yeah, we have shops here that sell glass "tobacco smoking pipes" that are obviously not for tobacco. Weird loopholes.

I know, I was wondering why he felt inspired to poetry over a crack pipe and was rushed for time as my boss was walking up.. LOL
