Time to qualify
Worked an entire shift and my shift is off to qualify. No sleep. Tired as hell. I'll let everyone know how we did.

Have fun

lol
use toothpicks for the eyeshttp://www.allpoetry.com/Grunts%20Girl
We dallied under
Vine maples and sapling alders
Searched for lady slippers
But instead
Found blackberry riots and
Desiccated branches
An old skid road
Brought ghost ferns and
Hollows filled with
Skunk cabbage
While waves wrapped
Intricate lacings of weeds
'Round mule spinners
His cyanotic eyes
Were hard enough to make
The sun turn tail and
Tender enough to attract me
To his world of illusion

He shouldn't have a problem,His area is only going to be in the lower 90s today with plenty of sunshine. The burning of the sweat running in his eyes should keep him awake.

It's the same way here: I work midnights so when it's time to qualify I have to come in when everyone else comes in....

Don't ya hate that? I cannot for the life of me understand why agencies don't cater just a bit to the night shift. Schedule stuff for later in the day or early evening so the night crew has a chance to get some rest. Would it kill the Training Div to come in later and give the night guys the opportunity to at least stay awake during training? Nothing worse than working a 12hr shift then have to be at training 2 hrs later and put in an additiion 8 hours.
My dad, I miss him every day.

I"ve been fairly lucky since we qualify on shift. Usually 2 of us go at a time for a couple hours. The shift is done within 2 days.
However, damn near every other training is during the day.The views expressed in the above post are the sole opinion of the author and do not reflect any official position by the author's employer and/or municipality.

I know it's just crazy. Annual re-training is 24 hours over 2 days, of course if your scheduled to work your off, but if your scheduled off and had to work the night before and you get off at 6am and class starts at 7am til 7pm by the time the first couple hours of boring stuff that you hear year after year is over so are you, out like a light zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Well folks, I ain't tall dark or handsome but usually I can shoot. Today just sucked. We shoot a 60 round course with the top score being 120. I usually always get a 120 with no problem. 115 with my Glock and a 106 with my .45. Disappointed to the extreme. I wish we could have gotten some sleep and went in the afternoon. I am also the usual first person in line when our Tac team makes entry so I try and push myself on my shooting skills. Anyway it is what it is. Never know when you may have to shoot when tired in real life. I was tired and cranky (still am) but I had fun. If we had our own range we would be able to keep our training time up.

At least now you know that you can shoot in your sleep!
Good luck and stay safe on your trip; hope you can get a family member who has slept more to drive most of the time.

Without a doubt. Wife's driving but she was relieved about and hour after me and we both have only had a nap. Good news is we'll be there before long. Coffee is good!

Good luck lew, I'm sure you'll make it there with your usual wit and charm. Don't sweat the qual score, trust your instincts and training and you'll hit it when it counts.
