Flashlight help - new bulb maybe?
I have a Streamlight Stinger that is probably about 8 years old. Its been through hell and back but has been a great light. I've sent it back to Galls for a new switch replacement and even a new battery.
Here's the issue:
I'm sitting with another officer one night this week, compairing our mini lights. He has the Streamlight STRION which is 12,000 candlepower.
My STINGER is supposed to be 15,000 candlepower. You would think mine would come out the brighter one.
Comparing the two at night, his was much brighter and whiter light than mine and shined much farther!
Do I need a new xenon bulb? Is it the battery?

Try to buy new xenon bulb and see if it will make it brighter. IF not, probably the flashlight is used up more if you say 8 years old. Battery sometimes can be defective but I doubt it. Just get a xenon bulb and see how it goes. Good luck, Stud.

I'm cheap too and I have one that is about 6yrs old and it started the same thing.. I got a new bulb and a battery and it works fine now.. but I am on days in a school.. So I really don't even need it now.. lol
It is better to be tried by 12, than carried by 6.
