Need Suggestions

Okay just want everyone's suggestion on what to do. I officially just broke it off with my ex-boyfriend. We were dating on and off again for the last 2 years. Some good months and some terrible months. He was my first love so I think I just didn't want to let go and now I am ready. But I have one problem I do not want his pearl necklace he gave me, it means nothing to me and I be damn if I'm giving that thing back to him. I would keep it but not even after a month of getting it he broke up with me for like the 10th time, so I know it means nothing. So what would you do with the pearl neckalace??

If you don't want it, what's the harm in giving it back to him?? I'd think that would make more of a statement of things being completely over.

Give it back without making a big production of it, mail it to him without comment. Or, if you like the pearls but don't want the symbolism of the necklace having come from him, have it restyled into a bracelet or something.

As Buttercup suggested, mail it back to him without comment.

I wouldn't keep it at all. At some point he may ask for it back and then that means you'll have to speak with him, and he may want to try to get back together again. Just mail it and be sure to get delivery confirmation or have him sign for it so you know it arrived.

If you are dead set about not giving it back to him you should consider donating it to a charity. They can sell it and use the funds for their charity. The benefit will be twofold, not only does the charity benefit, but you do as well, it becomes a tax write off. : )

give it back, anything-that means anything that is connected to him is a sign to him that you're expecting him to get in touch with you...or as sigmund would say, why that's crazy!

My thing is, the a**hole don't deserve it back, after all the money I spent on his a** just to get nothing from him last Christmas when I bought him gifts..yeah i know im holding a grudge and 2 wrongs don't make a right, but he's a jerk!

Contact a local womens shelter,they now have programs called "Dress for Success" where they help the victims to dress nicely to enable them to get decent jobs and move on.
