Flag Day
Today is Flag day.
In the United States, Flag Day is celebrated on June 14. It commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States, which happened that day by resolution of the Second Continental Congress in 1777.
In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation that officially established June 14 as Flag Day; in August 1949, National Flag Day was established by an Act of Congress.
Flag Day is not an official federal holiday, though on June 14, 1937, Pennsylvania became the first (and only) U.S. state to celebrate Flag Day as a state holiday.
36 U.S.C. § 110 is the official statute on Flag Day, however it is at the President's discretion to proclaim officially the observance.
The largest Flag Day parade is held annually in Troy, New York. [1]
Support and honor the Troops. Are you flying your Flag today?

Flad Day, 233rd Army Birthday & WTC Responder Day
Flag Day, 233rd Birthday of the Army and The First Annual "WTC Responder Day"
From the Fealgoodfoundation:
Remember the patriotism of all on this special day
The First Annual WTC Responder Day: June 14, 2008
Over the last few months, several organizations have been exploring the possibility of establishing a "WTC Responder Day" to honor the courageous work of those involved in the rescue, recovery, clean-up, and restoration of services following the 9/11 attacks. The participants in these discussions felt that recognition was long overdue for the tens of thousands of responders who risked their lives and their health as part of that historic effort.
The result is the launching of the first ever WTC Responder Day, to be held on Flag Day, which this year falls on Saturday, June 14.

Hardly heard anything about this on the news, the public should be reminded and should never forget!
God Bless the USA!
