    Crime novel

A retired LEO friend of mine published a crime novel a couple of years ago and I thought that some of you that actually read might enjoy it. The title is "A Step To Far" by Will Cordes. It is available through Amazon. Oh he doesn't know I am posting this and I'm not making any money either. The ending is a real kicker.
    "A Knights Oath
A Knight is sworn to valor; His Heart only knows virtue; His Blade defends the helpless; His Might upholds the weak; His Words speak only the truth; His Wrath undoes the wicked"

A Step Too Far: My Experiences With The Eighty-Second Airborne During World War II

    Product Description

Matheson Draper ruled a global business empire. His shiny black trucks, planes, and ships traveled the far reaches of the world. A remorseless sexual deviate, he went to great lengths to promote and expand his corporate interests. But sometimes a man's power can corrupt more than just himself.

Todd Milton, state agent for the Montana Criminal Investigation Bureau, was no stranger to murder investigations, but who would want to kill one of the world's richest men? Or maybe it might be easier to figure out who wouldn't.

From the high peaks north of Yellowstone to the quiet suburbs of New England, Todd will find help and love along the way. But will Todd's investigation into the death of a man who ground his competition under foot without a passing thought find the one step that was a step too far?

    About the Author
Will Cordes is a retired captain with the DeKalb County (GA) Sheriff's Office and a retired state agent with the Montana Department of Justice. He and his wife, Miriam, make their home in western Montana.
