    O/R auction info.

Just to let you all know the 1st Auction held here on O/R was a huge success. We raised $420.04 and paid $69 dollars for shipping. Our total profit was 350.96

We are going to continue to have auctions here on O/R If you would like to donate anything for us to auction off please contact Mack. We hope to have 5-10 auctions a week. So if you have questions or items make sure to PM Mack or email her at mack@officerresource.com

I would like to thank everyone who donated items. I would also like to thank all of you who bid, and Everyone who won Items! O/R is different than every police site and I guarantee that no other site has done anything like this. This auction is just one more thing that set us apart from the other sites. The money raised will go right back into the site. We are working on some new things and the money will be great to help O/R Grow! I hope we can continue to have these auctions. Next time you go to throw something away think would someone else on O/R want this???

Also a HUGE thanks to mack. She volunteered to take on this project and has done a great job.

Again thanks to every who participated.

Great, I didn't see this thread. I started one on the auction thread. What a waste of my time.

Just remember we need items to put up for auction. We have some surprises in store for future auctions, but we need things to auction in order to keep the surprises coming.

Skyline chili is famous in the Cincinnatti area, it is the best chili made!

Good question, I looked up recipes and it looks like the difference between tex mex chili and Cincinnatti Chili is just a few ingredients, Also they eat it on spagetti. One of the ingredients used in Cincinnattie chili is Cinnamin, some use chocolate to give it a mole flavor. Here is one recipe I found"

    Skyline Chili II

"This is a dark red, spicy meat chili made with browned ground beef, tomato paste, crushed chili peppers, cinnamon and allspice. Serve over cooked pasta with a generous sprinkling of grated Colby cheese."
    INGREDIENTS:
    2 pounds lean ground beef
    2 onions, minced
    35 black peppercorns
    6 bay leaves, crushed
4 whole dried red chile peppers, seeded and diced
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
    2 cloves garlic
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
    3 cups water
    4 tablespoons chili powder
    1 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
2 1/2 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
    1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
    1 1/2 teaspoons ground allspice
    1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 cup shredded Colby cheese

    DIRECTIONS:
    1. Brown ground beef in skillet with onions. Drain fat.
    2. Place the whole peppercorns, bay leaves, small red peppers, and crushed red pepper in a spice bag.
    3. In a large pot combine the garlic, tomato paste, water, chili powder, ground red pepper, vinegar, cinnamon, allspice, Worcestershire sauce and salt with the ground beef, onions and spice bag. Cook over low heat for 3 to 4 hours.
    4. When ready to serve, don't forget to remove spice bag and whole garlic cloves.
