The sentiments were great... but I get so tired of something good being screwed up because somebody attaches it to something that's not true... Like the one that's consistently attributed to a non-existent VSP Trooper.

These things only spead faster and more often today, thanks to the internet. And in some sad cases, they distract aid and efforts from a true story...

I still can't believe cops fall for this crap. Especially after they've been introduced to snopes.com. Yet my mailbox still gets that kind of crap every now and then from co-workers.

PS- Don't take this as a personal jab- because I still fall for crap like that too every now and then. I include myself in the above statement.
