Battle Hymn Of The Republic
Speakers: ON~
Here is a song we generally hear just once a year on the 4th of July. This rendition is done by an elementary school choir and high school choir.
At the conclusion listen to the high notes on the trumpet . . .played by a high school kid!
One of the fathers recorded it, added some graphic enhancements to the recording, and posted it on the web.
Be prepared . . . it will definitely send a few shivers up your spine.
You may want to press the 'F11' key OR your maximize icon
after the performance starts, to get a full-screen effect.

SI VIS PACEM PARA BELLUM-Ex-Sheriff Martin Howe to Will Kane in "High Noon"
"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.

Amazing how this song triggers a response 100+ years later. Some things never die.
My dad, I miss him every day.
