Wow, how time flies
I was looking at my profile and realized that two years ago today, I was attending the States Investigator certification course. I got to the academy early that day and was sitting in the lobby reading a copy of American Police Beat. I read about an interesting internet site called Law Enforcement Forums. I thought "what the heck" went to the computer lab and joined.
Since then I have met a lot of great friends, good people, and good contacts.
Thanks, Brad, Reca, and everybody else that keeps this site running and to all the members for making it interesting!

Term there dragged me over before it was even officially up, and I've been happy about it ever since.

I actually found this place through a link that e-man placed in his signature at o.com and decided to try it out, since I was getting bored over there.....Oh, and thanks to Mack for trying to get me to open up more.

This is like the montage at the beginning of Charlie's Angels! To paraphrase, "Once upon a time there were some very different little boys and girls who grew up to be some very different O/R members with three things in common: they're brilliant, they're beautiful, and they work for me. My name is Terminator."

Glad we all made it here, however unlikely our journeys!

I was invited over by Term, the second or third day the site had started. I came here because I was a member of one of those "other" police sites, and had been waiting 3 months and still hadn't gotten verified. I was fed up, so I left and came here.

This is more relaxed than the other place. Kinda like leaving SPHQ after a constipated politically correct morning, and having a BBQ lunch in the parking lot at the PD. Y'all still pick on Troopers, that's a sense of belonging... or is it not?

I think it was my Sgt who told me about this place. Funny thing is he never posts here anymore.

I for one will always pick on troopers. They are uptight and ornery. Some of them are also good friends and among the first people I would like to see show up if I get in a tight spot.
I also admire them for the HELL they go through at the academy here. You make it through that, you got my respect, without a doubt.*************************"It wouldn't take much for me to up and run...to another life somewhere in the sun."

In Washington, making sport of Troopers is an endless honor.
I even (by request) sent some AAA shirts to a WSP firearms instructor.
On the other hand, although WSP won't process a rolling DV (most of them just don't have the experience) they will fall all over themselves helping you with traffic codes, DUI's, or any other fun thing you care to invite them to.
It isn't my bag, but they are serious good people.
I know Car 4 has some great Trooper stories - something about running radar traps on hospital hill with no lights on, and just as the Troops started their cars and put 'em in drive, turning on all the bubble gum lights and racing away.I'm your huckleberry...

Glad y'all found it too!
I found this site because "Popo" or "Poco" or something like that (aka Term, known on the other site as "Termite Eater") did a little recruiting on that site to stir up trouble.
Mysteriously, the thread disappeared, as many other threads do over there. I got tired of all the fun threads going away.
