Oh no,

I am not a box cook, I like to make our meals from scratch but food choice is limited tonight. I pulled out a box of hamburger Helper, (Tomato Basil Pasta) and I had to blow the dust off the top.

My better half is shopping as we speak but I had to get something on the stove, not looking forward to it.

Expiration dates on stuff like this are for show, Dry noodles and seasoning, what can go bad there. I think they put expirations on some stuff so you will throw it away and then buy it again (Bastards always looking for a buck)

I just stirred Crap-a-pasta, doesnt look to bad but the smell is intersting.

Yes. We live in the woods and raise some of our own food and weevils get in the corn meal and stuff.

I don't know about elsewhere but down here, if you leave cornmeal, flour, cereal, etc in the cabinet too long without an airtight seal, you will get weevils. Got to be careful too because they look like the normal dark specks in cornmeal sometimes. If they move, it's weevils. If they don't move, it's either normal or dead weevils.

This is hilarious...

The other day my friend and I got back from a loooooooooong day at academy and threw some hamburger helper onto the stove. It seriously was the most disgusting thing I've ever eaten. I just washed the pan and seriously the cheese was coming off in sheets. That's not right.

Then tonight I had some tuna helper in the cabinet, got home from work and tried it in casserole form. Well failure #2. It's sitting on my counter as we speak, waiting for the sauce to "thicken" at the moment it's like soup. SICK.

Tasted like browned hamburger and cardboard. Nothing good about it. Junior ate it like champ but that was the only highlight of the night.

I can see my system recycling this as quickly as possible and getting it out of my body asap.

I would have been better making something from a can that I hate as well like CRAP-BOY-R-D.

I just had waffles made from scratch with blueberry's I just picked and some of that Ky. maple syrup that I won in the auction. Yum Yum.
