Names and words with opposite meanings.
OK, I'm going to list a few words and misnomers that have opposite meanings/antonyms and you can add to the list. Here goes...You drive on a parkway and park in a drive way. A species of bird is called a Titmouse but it doesn't have tits and it's not a mouse. A ship has a crow's nest but it's not a nest of crows but it's an enclosed lookout post on a ship's mast. A butterfly is not made of butter and it's not a fly. Sweetbreads aren't loaves of sweetened bread they're the pancreas of a hog. Some eagles are called bald but they have a head full of feathers.

OK, I'll take a stab at it.
Why is Greenland mostly full of ice and Iceland so green? I know, Denmark did this to confuse people.
Why are some ATVs referred to as quad bikes when the more correct term would be a quadricycle? Calling them a bike implies that they have two wheels instead of four.
Guinea Pigs are not pigs and do not come from Guinea.
Catgut is not made from cats but sheep intestines.
Grape Nuts are neither made form grapes or nuts.
Why does the band Barenaked Ladies consist entirely of clothed men?
