We don't get to play the SEC very often and the guys are dumb struck to see the SEC made it there.

WEAK dadyswat!!! The SEC beating Ohio State is turning into an annual right of passage nowdays.
I think the spread is a fad. All it is good for is speeding up the pace of play. If a team has good team speed on defense they can overcome the spread. I assume you are expecting to play Florida again?
I don't think that they would be that bad, but they would not be in the BCS. The SEC is a perfect example of the Law of the Jungle.....
The streangth of the wolf is the pack and the streangth of the pack is the wolf.
Playing one of the teams would not necessarly wreck your season or team. Playing two or three in a row would. I dare say playing any three SEC teams at random would mean a lose for a good team. For an average division one team it would mean at least two losses and the lose of a skill player.
They've got a good team, good speed and are improving every year. We'll just have to see how it all plays out. With the changes in recruiting in the NCAA I'm noto sure there isn't one team that can't beat another on any given day. They're all getting to be damn good.
I know Bama and UAB share the same trustees. I don't know about AU and Troy. That is one reason right there.
Well I must say some of my Auburn friends throw one heck of a preseason college football party. I went to a tailgating party at the home of one of my fellow church members father's house. Several SEC teams were represented. The food was out of this world. It is amazing how good food and good beer can settle sworn enemies down just long enough to eat our fill and enjoy some great college football talk. Probably about forty or so people there. Between all of us it was decided that both Bama and the Barn will win week one. Just a hint though, when eating home harvested duck don't bite down too hard. There might still be some shotgun pellets left.
I agree with this, when I was a MUCH younger buck,I really didn't care for college ball.Nowadys it is sometime(often) better than the pros, who pull themselves out of a game if they get a hangnail cause it might interfere with their personal appearance tour.,Pros really have no incentive to play smash mouth ball.
Just like I love watching lil league world series baseball, those lil fellas play their hearts out because they love to play.:biggrin1:
Well, I guess you 'Bama fans won't have to worry about UCLA in your flight to (prospective) total domination. Whether that happens or not remains to be seen.

LOL!!! I'm not worried about the Bruins or the Mormons for that matter.
You know at the start of the season I was looking forward to this weekend so I could get at some of the LSU guys on here... now I think I'll bite my tongue a bit. To bad our offense isn't as good as the defense.
I'm glad to see bama getting into the SEC now so we can see if the Clemson game was the real deal or not.
WAR EAGLE!
All I have to say is, tonight, I hope the tigers win.
