8-26-08 Question of the Day
Why do you press harder on the remote-control when you know the battery is dead?

How many people actually do that besides Reca?

I don't press harder, but I do bang it on the table.

I'll take the batteries out and switch them around or clean off the ends to see if I can get just a little more juice til I can find batteries to fit. Reca, I think you might be the only one who presses harder, lol. OMG, am I agreeing with Jenna????? Damn, I gotta get out more!
My dad, I miss him every day.

I think this is a Reca-specific question but I could be wrong.

I do the press harder thing until my wife gets home. Then, I have her get some new batteries out of the drawer and bring them over to me!For the morning will come. Brightly will it shine on the brave and true, kindly upon all who suffer for the cause, glorious upon the tombs of heroes. Thus will shine the dawn.

You press it harder because you want to make sure the issue is a dead battery and not the fact that you didn't push the button hard enough for the censor to activate and perform the desired function.

i will start by pressing harder,, then i will take that batts out and put them back in,, then i start looking around to see what else in the house has AA batts that i can use. heaven forbid if i have to walk the half a block down the street to the gas station and pay 8 bux for 2 AAs
08-27-08, 01:25 AM #13Thats why I get the rechargeables. Sure they cost more but they last longer and have more uses. When they die just plug them in tho the recharger and use another set.
