Cell Phones
Ok so since we are all talking cell phones and techonogy lately what type of new technology are you all using?
I currently have two phones that I switch between the LG1400 and the LG9200 which are no longer sold by Cingular.
I am thinking about going to the Razr and doing the Bluetooth thing.Being the best is not what always counts. What counts is always trying your best.

I've had mine for quite a while... and probably won't get a new one for at least another year or so. I have the i860 from Nextel (I, by chance, got it like 3 days after it came out)... as far as new technology... I have no idea... I never use my phone for anything other than talking on it... I pretty much abhor text messaging... so I doubt I'll ever have IM on my phone. I figure if you don't want to call or direct connect me... you don't want me bad enough for me to respond to you.

I had US Cellular for years. I renewed my contract for 2 years and I dropped my phone w/ 10 months on it. I was SOL and was told I had to pay full boat for a phone. I told them to go screw themselves sill and went to Nextel.
I got the i560 w/no frills. I wanted a cell phone that will LAST and couldn't give 2 sh!ts for a camera phone. This phone is built to military specs for abuse and is built like a tank. But I did get the insurance
just in case!

I have Verizon and a Motorola phone. Not sure of the number but it has a camera and speakerphone. At first I thought speakerphone was a frill that I wouldn't use, but it has been great. If I'm on hold or trying to get instructions for computer work, I can just set the phone down and apparently it sounds perfectly fine to both of us.

I use my barnd new Sagem My-Z5 that I got for Xmas.
I only use flip and slide phones so no accidental calls and the like. This time I went for this phone because it has video calling and is USb capable.

I take whatever one T-Mobile is giving me for free. I use it as a phone, not a frigging camera, email machine nor do I want to listen to music with it.
I've had no problems with T-Mobile in the 4 or 5 years I've had them. A local news station checked with the state and found that they had the fewest number of complaints by far than any other service provider. Cingular had the most. When I used to be somebody (I'm center top)

I have a Nokia phone through Verizon. It's a couple of years old, no camera or music capabilities. It does the job for me and has held up to a lot of abuse.

I have a Motorla V557 and, well, it's okay. It's a bit quirky and annoying at times, but on balance it's a decent phone. I was much more pleased with the battery life on my old Nokia. Though I don't care much about having a camera whatsoever, I would jump at the chance to get a nice phone with large enough storage capacity to hold a good number of MP3s. I carry my cell phone with me everywhere I go, and since I like to listen to music while I'm walking, it would be nice to not have to carry a separate MP3 device.
My phone has speakerphone and I wouldn't buy another one without it. I use it much more often than I ever thought I would, especially when driving or if I'm at work and don't want to make it obvious that I'm making a quick phone call.
Bearcat, I have Cingular and it works well in DC. Verizon offers signal in metro stations, which seems to appeal to many.

Nextel I860. Had nextel for 2 years and love it. Recently got the office to switch to them and we have a Direct Connect console in dispatch. What i love about nextel is it either works or it dont. No static and very rarely does it cut out. The I860 takes great pics. I always thought camera phones were stupid but I love it. Take pics of accidents all the time now
My only complaint is that the DC cut off for local service is like 5 miles west of my house so if I DC someone in the next town it costs but I can DC someone in Virginia Beach and its free"And don't go home, and don't go to eat, and don't play with yourself.
