im getting to this question late... but, i love to cook. unfortunately its only me so my neighbors, family & friends get the benefits of my efforts.
since the question was asked, i made stuffed cabbage leaves for my brother, since he married a latino, he doesnt get that kind of food anymore, and since im in fl & love cuban food, i made a mean ropa vieja. for those of you who have no idea what it is, its skirt steak sauteed for hours w. onions, lots of garlic, green, red & yellow peppers and italian cilantro. once the steak is done you shred it apart & then make a sauce of squished tomatos, sofrito, more onions & peppers. totally awesome. put over rice, seasoned w/ more onions & garlic & seasoning. black beans on the side... yummers. and no im not spanish; im as gringo as they get. hence the stuffed cabbage leaves...V
