What does it take to make you relent?
After you've made a firm decision, what does it take to make you relent and change your mind?
When my little dog Abby races through the house, eyes sparkling, tail justa wagging, grabbing up one squeaking toy after another while on the run, hoping to go with the wife and me in the car, then to tell her, NO!! you can't go.
Immediately after telling her this her eyes cloud over, her tail droops and she creeps to the front drapes and while leaning into them, as if for support, looks up at me like this little beagle. Then, as we back out the driveway she stands up with her front paws on the sill staring out the window. Regardless of how long we're gone she stays by that window till we return. I'm telling you, it's hard to drive off and leave her and I usually give in, unless it's a hot day and we'd be out of the car too long to leave the AC running.

Awwwww. I have a hard time telling my dogs no over table scraps... and I usually relent when my half Chow half Husky sits next to me and starts licking his lips
Unless of course it's something he can't eat like chocolate...then I go find a suitable treat for him.

Nothing short of proving me wrong or not having a choice.

"The difference between 'involvement' and 'commitment' is like an eggs-and-ham breakfast: the chicken was 'involved' - the pig was 'committed'."
The views, opinions, stupid off the cuff comments, mouthy, obnoxious, thoughtless, etc etc etc are not always or even some of the time the belief of my department, so bugger off!
