Do you have any bad habits or faults?
Do you have any bad habits or faults that your guilty of and have had little success in getting rid of?
For the past couple of years I've gotten into the habit of staying up too late, eating just before going to bed and drinking too much coffee instead of water. Regardless of how hard I try, I can't get to bed before one or two in the morning and have had little or no success in controling late night hunger pangs and the hankering for coffee. One of my worst faults is forming too early of an opinion of someone, who looks like a grouch and acts like a horses a$$ when you first meet them, then after getting to know them, turn out to be just the opposite.

My main fault is that I sometimes tell bad jokes.

My main bad habit is I'm addicted to O/R.
Hilarity ensues when those two are combined!

From about age 16 until August of '06, I dipped a can of snuff a day (10 years). I was finally able to quit..it was damn hard. All that same time, I was a very light smoker and would occasionally buy a pouch of chewing tobacco (when hunting, at a ballgame, etc). Well, I can safey say I'm done dipping forever..a few months ago, I bummed a dip off a buddy at work and I was pleasantly suprised to find out I didn't enjoy it. However, I'm finding it quite difficult to quit my light smoking and chewing "habits." I smoke about a pack a week, and I'll chew about a pouch a week...not really enough to say I need them and can't do without them (and I clearly don't, as when I'm not working, tobacco is the last thing on my mind), but my work day doesn't seem to start off right unless I smoke a cigarette. Very odd....most days at work, I'll smoke 2-3 cigarettes and maybe have 1 or 2 chews. I've noticed that if I try to go completely without, the next day I'm wanting to smoke a lot more. I've justified my behavior by saying "hey...I can smoke 2 cigarettes a day, or I can go without and smoke a whole pack...1 or 2 won't kill me." I'm really wanting to give tobacco up completely.

I have no bad habits either. I also have no faults. I am the height of human evolution, and have achieved perfection.

honestly, is it that bad that I smoke so little and chew so little? I know it'd be better if I didn't do any of it at all, but is that little amount going to adversly affect my health? My bp and pulse are both great, I have a high level of cardio endurance...is there a doctor in the house?!?!?

I cuss. I mean every other word is fu@k. I have a horrible temper for a short guy who doesn't care for confrontation. It takes much effort to keep it straight. As a young man I used to booze to the point of issue but was able to walk away from it. I work to much and don't have enough time to spend with my kids.

I quit the nicotine in 1990. As for Caffeine and Alcohol, I do have those occasionally but rarely. Mostly sodas. I also have a tendency to butt into peoples conversations when I feel that I have something to add.

I have plenty of faults and bad habits. But I'm fairly certain anyone reading this really gives a rat's ass. But I hope you feel better now that you vented.

I often operate on 4 hours of sleep a night. I'm finally getting myself out of that rut. Although I've found if I get 4 hours of sleep, and 2 20 minute naps a day I'm just as good as if I get 8 hours of sleep.
I have many nervous habits, ranging from taping on counters, bouncing my legs, chewing on my cheek and farting.
I have a short temper, but I'm working on that as well.
I'd say the worst bad habit I have is I'm too hard on myself and have too low of a self-esteem. This became evident when a member of management was talking to me about promotions and I stated that I doubted I'd ever get one again.
