That woman, for those of you who don't know, watched her father and mother die in a Luby's restaurant in 1991.

YEP - And a former Texas State representative. She is considered the mother of Texas' CHL laws. Almost every CHL law and amendment we have on the books has her name on it. Originally Posted by maclean

She was a Chiropractor, who ran for and won a seat in the State House of Representatives in 1996. She stepped down in 2007. She's a Republican who ran undefeated for five terms in a traditionally Democrat district. She makes no qualms about being conservative. She stands firm on a pro-life, small government, constitutionalist/constructionalist platform.
