... and the worst part of it is that these arrogant fatcats walked out afterward, lit up a cigar, slapped one another on the back about how she looked, and completely ignored her message. Then again, they are 'special', and can own and/or possess any weapon they want, because the law doesn't apply to them, does it?

That woman, for those of you who don't know, watched her father and mother die in a Luby's restaurant in 1991.
Her firearm was locked in her car, and she says to this day she regrets obeying the law at the time which kept her from being armed inside the restaurant.
Her name is Suzanna Gratia Hupp.I'm your huckleberry...

"The second amendment is not about duck hunting" "It is about our right to protect ourselves against all of you guys up there"
No truer words about the second amendment have ever been spoken! The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government.

YEP - And a former Texas State representative. She is considered the mother of Texas' CHL laws. Almost every CHL law and amendment we have on the books has her name on it.
I emailed her a year or two ago when she decided not to run for re-re-re-election. She told me that she was writing a book and felt that Texas' laws need to go Federal - I agree.
I wouldn't be surprised to see her run for U.S. Representative eventually and sponsor a national CHL law.

She was a Chiropractor, who ran for and won a seat in the State House of Representatives in 1996. She stepped down in 2007. She's a Republican who ran undefeated for five terms in a traditionally Democrat district. She makes no qualms about being conservative. She stands firm on a pro-life, small government, constitutionalist/constructionalist platform.
Hupp is quoted as having said, "How a politician stands on the Second Amendment tells you how he or she views you as an individual... as a trustworthy and productive citizen, or as part of an unruly crowd that needs to be lorded over, controlled, supervised, and taken care of."

"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."

But people don't need guns to be safe, why on Earth would they want bad men with big bad guns near their families? I am so confused.
