What's the worst Christmas gift you've received?

I've gotten some pretty sorry ones, but I think the worst one was a 5 stick candle holder made of plaster of paris which my neighbor gave me a couple of years ago...It looked like something he'd won at a carnival or picked up at a garage sale.

Maybe you can donate that to the O/R auction!

I've never received a bad gift, I always appreciate that someone has thought enough of me and taken the time to get a gift for me.

Of course, there was the year that my grandmother bought matching shirts for all of us to wear on Christmas..........

In all seriousness, I really have never thought of anything I've received as a bad gift.

I agree it's the thought that counts... such as the time my mother in law gave me one of those little rubber pinch coin purses with the name of the company on it.

One year I told my wife I wanted an air compresser for Christmas. I'd been talking (I thought) about a 24 gallon one. What she got me was one of those little 12V jobs you plug into a cigarette lighter to air up your tires...... I did my best to look happy to get it....

Jenna, I would appreciate the thought and I'd wear it inside out and only around the house and/or under another shirt.

Poor Buttercup would probably develop a rash which would infect the left side of her body.

I can't think of a gift I've gotten that was particularly horrible, though there were a few that I've thought "wow...you don't know me at all, do you".
