What's the prettiest spot in America?
I may be partial, but the north Georgia mountain area is undoubtedly the prettiest and most scenic area in the entire country. I've been in 41 of the 50 states, including WA, OR, CA, NV, MT, CO, WY, UT, NC, TN including all of the New England states and upstate NY and none are as pretty as the north Georgia mountain area. Again, I could be partial.

Love the pictures, they're awesome. Georgia is an amazing state...
Without a doubt every state has its own beauty. I've been to 47 of the 50 and have found something in all of them to enjoy. That being said, the one spot I think is the most beautiful is a remote waterfall in Southern Utah. Its a mile and a half up a desert trail off of the state highway, hidden in a stand of cottonwood trees. Absolutely beautiful place...RIP Sarah Noll~11-8-87 to 4-17-08

The prettiest spot in America for me is my backyard, when I look at it from my dining room on a cold winters day after a fresh snow. If I was smart enough to post a picture, I would.
For the morning will come. Brightly will it shine on the brave and true, kindly upon all who suffer for the cause, glorious upon the tombs of heroes. Thus will shine the dawn.

If I knew how to post a photo, I would, of my backyard, with the salmon bearing stream, cloaked in fresh snow.
That is my favorite place - but not the most beautiful. Oddly enough, I fell in love with White Sands in New Mexico. Just stark beauty.

I agree that each state has it's own beauty. I went to WA state and thought the snow topped mountains were beautiful, but I went to NY state and thought the icy waterfalls were beautiful, I lived in NH and thought their mountains were beautiful too. I've lived in MA, NH, FL, KY, and now IN and find beauty in every one of those states. Lets face it, we live in one beautiful country no matter where you go! I think we are pretty darn lucky.
My dad, I miss him every day.

I'm in agreement with all who have said that every state has its own beauty.

I was always partial to New England in the winter and fall.

The prettiest spot in America is where ever I am standing. But North Carolina is a close second.

Looking East from my living room and man cave towards Brasstown Bald mountain, the highest point in Ga. Nothing between me and the Mountain except the valley.

"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.

You must've never traveled to Oklahoma. Tacticall will try to tell you that his briar patch down yonder by the holler is a right purdy place to do some noodlin' and coon sackin' (I don't think that's an actual activity, but I could be wrong) with your ceramic jug that says "XXX" on it that's full of moonshine, but he is wrong. This state is as ugly as a mule's ass. But it is starting to grow on me a bit.

Something to be said for a state like mine that includes a rain forest, temperate forests, glaciers, mountains, deserts, volcanoes, active faults, one of the largest rivers in North America, enough left over radiation to make the state glow at night, enough liberals to make Marx go mad, enough military hardware and troops to engage in war on California and apples, salmon, hops, wheat, potatoes (more than Idaho, oddly enough), corn, timber, hairy liberal women, granola and grotesquely overpriced coffee. From coast to desert in three house with a snowy stop over.
Other than the libtards, a beautiful state.
