I haven't been online the last few days, so I want to wish all a belated Merry Christmas. I hope that the New Year brings health and happiness to all here in OR. As I have said in the past, OR is like a second family to me. So, to you all have a wonderful 2009 and most of all stay safe!
My dad, I miss him every day.

I wasn't sure that we were even going to have a christmas. We had three feet of snow (never happened before) and no power and unplowed roads. We put the fixins for our feast on the front porch to keep them cold and hunkered down for a long and dismal day.
But God meant for us to have the Christmas we wanted with all of our family......so he got Maclean to stand in front of a power truck until they agreed to fix the mess on our power pole. Then the power came back on just in time to begin cooking all the goodies. My wife whipped up one of her great Italian feasts.....and the kids braved the roads and snow to arrive safely. As my sons were shoveling snow for me, Maclean again got a new power crew to stop and re-string the seconday lines to a neighbor whose trees had pulled thier line completely out of thier house. Not something they should have done.....but it was Christmas.
The grandkids loved thier toys and we were all together for the best day of the year.
I wish you all the gift of family and peace for a day.
