MAD DOG CALL/long sorry
OK,we are the only thing close to animal control in our parish.Today I get a call of a Beagle that has chased a woman out of her house and tried to bite her several times
.Anyone that has been around a beagle knows it is the MOST docile dog going, almost timid,as I am enroute ,I am thinking "if this thing looks like it is getting ready for a shave"(foamy mouth),it is getting one right behind the ear"
I get there and the comp. meets me and tells me the story, she heard a racket in her washroom, which is right outside her kitchen door. She opens the door to check and this crazed beagle rushes into her house. It apparently has one of those shock collars used for training, and apparently it is shorted out causing the dog to freak out.It has knocked over her Christmas tree, broke glass in her bathroom, tried to bite her 4 times when she approached it,and now she has no idea where in the house it is .
Enter brave dep.Mav,
locate the dog behind her couch, peeing all over itself, but not as aggresive,I figure the collar finally gave up the ghost, but aint reaching down.Get a length of rope from my trunk ,fashion a loop and hook the dog and get it outside, tail between legs,(YEAH,YOU KNOW I'M DA MAN
),see a collar with a name plate, and lo and behold it is one of our very own DTF agents, have dispatch call him and he is there in 5 minutes(he lives a 100 yards away through the woods),I explain to him I think the collar may have shorted out.
He acts pissed in front of comp. and says he just got them and it must be defective cause you can hear his other dogs still on his property, and theirs are working. He apologizes and offers to pay for any damage(she declines).
NOW,the good part(I know finally
)as we are walking back to our cars he states that there was nothing wrong with the collar, when he saw the dog missing he kept hitting the shock button trying to get it to come back and all the time it was terrorizing this woman

Poor Snoopy!

The first time I read Mavriktu's story I thought the dog belonged to the woman and was puzzled. Then I re-read it and realized the full extent of the hilarity--a random stranger dog just jumped into her house and terrorized her!
Awesome, just like in a Stephen King novel!

So what's a DTF agent?

It could have been "Dog Tasing Fool" given the story.

Good story Mav, but that guy sounds like he should have his dog taken away. That's not how you treat a dog, and doing that completely reduces the effectiveness of using a shock collar for training. What a tool bag.

I nearly peed myself when I finished the story but I see the dog already did so I won't have to.
