Lack of respect.
I was just reading a car forum about a kid losing his car to street racing. The ignorance displayed towards cops is just mindblowing.

Gotta love the tough guy talking about making a cop think twice if they showed up at his door. Internet muscles are huge over there

You gotta remember, mtaylor, that the vast majority of those guys only encounter cops when they are getting a ticket.
I can promise you the internet-tough-guy over there would be the first one to go "yes, sir" and probably give us consent to search his home if we knocked on his door. lol."If everyone is thinking alike, then someone isn't thinking." -Gen. George S. Patton

Very true, I don't think a lot of people understand why officers do the things they do. Take for example a lot of people feel that pulling people over for such things as a broken tail light is absurd and that the officer is just fishing. However after I did a ride along and heard some of the stories of what those stops have led to I completely agree with what the officers do. For example one story was that the officer made a stop due to a broken tail light and when he approached the car everyone was acting extremely nervous so he and his partner pulled everyone out of the car and found that all 4 had ski masks and the driver a felon was sitting on a loaded gun.
