Man, people can be pissy!
So, yesterday there was an ad on craigslist for free stuff (leftovers from an estate sale). We figured, what the hey, we'll go and see what there is. OK, I realize that it's free. And I realize it was first come, first served, but really!!! I was standing next to the stuff that Tom was taking to the car (some nut/bolt organizers and a big fan), and some lady came up and bent down to look at them. I let her know, very nicely, that we were loading those. In fact, my exact words were "Oh, I'm sorry...we were going to take those, but I think there might be some more in the back of the garage." She looked at me like I had just insulted her mother and said "It's supposed to be whatever you can carry out and you're obviously not carrying them right now." Did I mention I was holding my son? Tom got back to grab them before I bit her head off, but I did let her know that if that was the case, perhaps she should go speak with the lady who didn't bring a truck but was claiming the furniture (not that I wanted it, I just wanted to be pissy right back at her).
Throw in the stampeding people, the arguing over who saw what first, and having to dig through boxes of basically trash and I'm reminded why I try to steer clear of things like this. *sigh*--"D.B.A.D." --Me

You definitely handled that idiot very well, I don't think I would have been able to have such restraint as you. The nerve of some people.

That sounded like a excellent moment to demonstrate the finer points of a brachial stun.

"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."

you showed amazing restraint. i would have lost my shit quick.
in the warriors code there's no surrender, though his body says stop, his spirit cries...NEVER. deep in our souls, a quiet ember, knows its you against you, its the paradox that drives us all. its a battle of wills, in the heat of attack, its the passion that kills, and victory is yours alone.
