Maybe PM me / let me know closer to time you go. My wife looks for a reason to go every chance she gets. We are planning on buying a platinum pass again this year. We bought platinum passes last year and they were worth every penny. We went to Cedar Point on it around 12 times, and Kings Island a good 20+ times. The platinum pass lets you get in past the crowds an hour before everyone else, it gives you free parking (saving you $10 each time), and you also can go to Kings Island (near Cincinnati which is about 4 hours to the south) using it with free parking there as well. The extra hour is worth it's wait in gold - Raptor is walk on even on the busiest days of the year, when it's an hour wait all day. Plus you can leave for lunch off-site, and not worry about paying twice for parking, which can save you a lot of money if you're bringing a family. If you go to CP or King's Island just three times, you've payed the amount needed for the platinum pass.
Just so you know, the park is opening for the season much, much later than they normally do. Weekend operation starts May 16, and weekday operation starts a week after that. Kings Island opens April 18th and is premiering a brand new, very exciting roller coaster this year. It's not the tallest or the fastest, but it's made by what's considered the best coaster designer around and would be well worth checking out.
As I said, let me know in advance, we might meet up if you want, or at least my wife.
I'll need at minimum a week's notice, my wife only needs a day's notice. She'll jump in the car within five minutes of hearing "roller coasters."Last edited by Radar; 01-31-09 at 10:26 AM. Reason: wife had stuff for me to add

Cedar point is a lot of fun
But I also wondered WTF someone would take a vacation to Ohio if not for family (I grew up 5 minutes away from the border in Albion PA).
Sea World is also in the area, fun for the kids if you have any.The world would be much cleaner if blind people carried brooms instead of sticks.

You beat me to it!
Funny, my friend and family went to Ohio this weekend, their daughter graduated from Xavier College. Her daughter did not like it there too much and is glad to be done with it.
Sorry you native Ohioans!

After living in Tampa, Fl,... Atlanta, Ga,... Lenior, TN, Ohio really isnt that bad of a place to visit and or live.
People who live here, always make comments about how OHIO sucks, Truth is, its really not a bad place to live at all. We hardly ever have tornado's, never have Hurricanes, hardly ever have earthquakes, if we do, its so small it barely registers.
It does get cold, but not like i remember back in the school days, when snow was asshole deep. I cant remember the last time we got a foot of snow, that actually stuck around for a month or so.
We have great attractions around the State. like pudge said, we have the Amish Villa out in his area
, were reca lives, we have "southland"
, j/k .....Ohio really isnt as bad as everyone puts on to be. The people that say that, usually never leave there town, and typically, has no idea what Ohio has to offer people.
Im glad to hear you coming up this way. You will more than likely be driving through our county on the way up there.
Have a safe trip, watch out for the Black cruisers with the Stars on this sides

I live in the tri-state area but in Indiana. We go to Ohio all the time, it's only about 20 min. away. I love this whole area (IN, KY, OH) I find it beautiful. After living in So. FL for so long the change of weather is refreshing. This year has been a great spring. Lots of rain lately but it's made everything so green and fresh!
Have a great vacation.
My dad, I miss him every day.
