Jack is back.... and maybe coming here.

The past couple nights, Jack Osbourne has been back in town working on midnight shift. So since I don't know how long he's staying around I told him about O/R, said how you guys would love to see him sign up and post, and gave him the url for the site. He said he would check it out. Hopefully he does. He was the most impressive of all the gang that came for the reality show. And one thing I noticed is that when Estrada comes back to work, he only rides with the Sgt. But Jack was actually partnered with a regular officer. To me that speaks a lot to how well the dept. thinks of Jack, that they trust him outside of supervisor view. So hopefully Jack will join us in here.

They still filming that show or are they coming around on their own? And if they are coming around on their own what is their motivation if you know?

No, there is no filming anymore. That was done a LONG time ago. Jack and Eric have come back here on their own. I've never talked with either about their motivation (wow thats a good acting term hahaha). I think that Jack just enjoys it genuinely. This time around he even grew a 70's cop stache/porn stache. hehehe

What type of training did these people receive? What role do they actually play on the Dept? Do they have full powers of arrest or are they just riding along?

If I'm not mistaken, I seem to remember that they're reserve and have to put in a certain number of hours to keep that status.

Yeah they are reserves, with technically enough minimal training to be street legal with arrest powers in Indiana (not saying much there). Eric and Jack are the only ones that returned to work any more. How much they actually do.... I don't think Eric has been allowed to do all too much. That's why I think he always rides with the Sgt. when he's here. Jack rides with a regular officer. I haven't been on a call with him yet where an arrest was made. But since he's with a regular officer, I'm guessing he is pulling his own weight about as much as a young rook would when he's starting out. Kind of leaning on the veteran officer, but doing what hes comfortable with (or what his partner is comfortable with) himself. I just wish I would have more chance to see him in action. From what I have seen, he has kept good control about himself. The British accent is a little different, but kind of cool. He wasn't in there last night, so I'm not sure if he's left town yet or not. The night before, when I gave him the O/R url, he was off the road for a decent amount of time getting some training from one of the Sgts. I'm presuming that each time they come back, they are getting whatever minimum is needed to maintain their powers.
