Google Goes French
Has anyone noticed that if you enter http://www.google.com/ it re-directs to http://www.google.fr/ (the Fench version of Google)?
It started doing it on my computers at work and at home just a few days ago. I may have to switch seach engines, because I don't want to press any extra keys fo English

Charlie, I'm a bit geek-o-ffended. Common ISP provider with work and home? Use default DNS at home or a third party such as OpenDNS? If work and home have a common DNS provider, have you checked to see if they've updated against DNS poisoning attacks?
Articulate. Details are critical.

Hmmm - It's not doing it this morning. I'll have to check at home tonight to see if it's still doing it there, but my guess is that Google fixed it.
We have SBC at work and Verizon FiOS at home, but I haven't check to see who the DNS provider is,

Charlie,
How did you know it was the French version? Did your search for "girls" and "wee wee" come back with different results?

Apparently this mistake isn't that uncommon, Google has given quite a few folks a free trip to France. Harmless though.
