Dog: The Bounty Hunter

I just got finished watching an episode of this crap that A&E passes off for reality television. I can't beleive that this guy is popular enough to have his own television show. Here are some facts that I have derived from watching one episode:

1. All of the criminals that you chase live on an island in the middle of the pacific ocean. Not much of a hunt, is it?

2. Having your wife as your chauffeur dosen't exactly play up to your macho attitude. I would say something about the hair, but I won't go there.

3. About the hair, what kind of Pompadore/Mullet style are you trying to achieve here? Are you a bounty hunter or a rejected drag queen trying out for the village people? Ooooohhhh.....Nothing strikes fear in the hearts of criminals more that a walking ad for Vidal Sasoon hair products.

4. The brave men and women in law enforcement around the world can manage to subdue the largest and craziest of people with a 5oz. can of pepper spray. Who are you trying to impress with the industrial sized 1 gallon bottle?

5. What's the deal with the counseling session you give to everyone you bring in? Are you trying to go for a "What if Dr. Phil was a Bail Bondsman" type of effect? I believe the people he catches when they say they are going to straighten up. I would too if I knew it meant going through another speech like that.

That's my 2 cents. I heard Chuck Norris was originally slated for that role, but the producers figured everyone who ever even thought of something illegal would turn themselves in. The ones that tried to run would be round house kicked so hard the gory violence would give it a NC-17 rating, thus unairable for regular television.

9. Crime-fighting and bounty-hunting is strictly a daytime occupation.

10. If you're lost, flag down a UPS driver instead of bringing a map. Never mind that he may think he's being hijacked by Dog and crew, who have more prison tattoos than Charles Manson.

11. Cops are bumbling, jealous idiots, but Bounty Hunters represent the epitome of professional ethics, morals, and training (since they work for the pristine

12. Every guy you meet should be addressed as "Bra", a term which I always thought meant an item of women's underware

No, he's made the statement that he pitys Bounty Hunters that carry guns, because guns can get them into trouble - But the real reason may be that he can't because of the 1st-degree Texas murder conviction, although I'm not sure what Hawaii’s and Colorado's laws are.

I'm actually a fan of the show & have watched almost every episode, but I roll my eyes at a lot of the stuff on there. I may try it after I get my PI license (one of the paths to being a Bounty Hunter in Texas) if it looks like I won't be able to qualify physically for Reserve Officer training - It'll give people another reason to think I have a screw loose somewhere

As TxCharlie said, he spent hard time in jail for murder, and that is why he can't carry a gun, but he acts like it's because guns aren't needed and they're trouble.

I think the Bounty Hunter documentary about Leonard Padilla that the National Geographic channel shows occasionally may be a more realistic portrayal of what the Bail Bond industry is really like, but of course that's just a feeling I get.

He's a huge wannabe, portraying this hardass attitude, but yet he ran like a beyotch in a bad neighborhood at night one time. His long haired son is a punk in need of a taser ride. His high quality woman needs reduction surgery and lipo.

Long story short, the damn show is a friggin trainwreck. Horrible to see, but for some damn reason you gotta look.

Dog is an idiot. You know if he didnt have that conviction he'd walk around with like a Desert Eagle. I cant stand that guy. I remember one episode he said to turn off the headlights thats police do. This guy is just a poor sap who couldnt get in law enforcement. I like the whole see through mesh shirts. his son is an idiot who cant fight. Theres one video where he "fights and wins" It was fucking retarded, he fought an old dood, and starts wailing on him and everyone tries to act like a bad ass right after. Also love how when the cops get involved they just stand there and smile cause they know there all fuggin idiots.

Well, SOB is doing something right because his show is the highest rated show ever on A&E and he just got awarded a big fat payoff to keep doing what he's doing....

And yes...I do watch.....
