Thanks everyone! I'm only a couple years away from 30 today.
Yesterday was a little awkward. Got taken to see Phantom of the Opera downtown by the ex. I love that show. Call me ghey, but I've seen it 4 times. The awkward part is because it was with the ex. lol But she already bought the tickets when we were dating, so we didn't want them to go to waste. It was a good time anyways!
Today is "me" day. It's my regular day off so I slept in. Got me a steak dinner coming tonight. Also, I got a check for 10K from my previous department's pension handler on Friday. I only had a couple years full time there (non-vested) so I took out my retirement contributions (defined benefit system) rather than rolling them over to my new PD which is a Money Purchase system. With that, I immediately paid down all of my credit card debt, which was about 3K. I just moved into a new place so I am replacing some furniture...about 1.5 K worth. I set aside about 2K for savings. I might use a grand for a couple of trips--already going to Mexico in May, so I need some spending cash...maybe Vegas later in the summer. But today...oh boy. I'm about to grab a shower and head out. I think it's time for a new 46" LCD HDTV and a new desktop computer....MAYBE a new digital camera, since my trusty 3 year old 6MP just crapped out. We'll see. I don't splurge often on big ticket stuff, so I'm excited.

Phantom is an awesome show, Andrew Lloyd Weber just wrote a sequel to it, hopefully it is just as good!
Saw the musical Hair this weekend, another awesome show, thought it would be a bit dated but it worked because the music is great!
