I just read a Nevada Revised statute that stood out to me. In Nevada a security guard cannot become a reserve police officer or police officer while maintaining their current position as a security guard. Makes sense. If working as a security guard if you see a crime, technically your a police officer in the state of Nevada, But then yet your still a security guard.
Any of you have anything similiar in your state?

Ive never heard of that before. In the state of florida its not uncommon that a private security officer is also a reserve deputiy or reserve police officer.
